Pink Shield was initially conceptualized as a method to spread the ancient art of Kalaripayattu among the masses especially women. We wanted to implant the thought process at the very early stages of life.Schools and colleges were the right place to start. During the process we realized a much greater need of time,that is, self defense training among women. In a state where the ratio of woman to man is high,it was noticed that a very few women took martial arts training seriously, leave apart kalaripayattu.
